TC 5.1 wishes to dedicate this Web Site to the memory of John O’ Connor. John was a member and a strong participant of TC 5.1 for over 20 years. He served the committee in all positions including Chair and was an early advocate for this Website. John passed away in 1999.
Thank you for visiting the homepage of ASHRAE Technical Committee 5.1. We are actively involved with fan selection, rating, and applications for HVAC, Industrial and specialty uses. With pleasure, we welcome you to the website.
We are interested in the design and application of fans. We believe that the efficient movement of air is an important fundamental consideration of our environment as well as most industrial processes.
This website is a mini record of our efforts toward improving our existing knowledge of our products as well our effort toward the future understanding of new applications products.
We always look forward to our two yearly meetings. Here we discuss what we have done and what we plan to do. We invite you to come and share your thoughts.
Do you want to get involved in your TC's issues at the Society level? If so, read through the pages of this site, attend the Annual meeting, or contact our Committee Chair or a Sub Committee member.
